When my husband and I first fell in love, we believed his family was complete. Before we met, he made the loving and responsible choice to have a vasectomy. At the time, it was right for him. But as our marriage grew deeper, so did our dreams. We began to imagine a little one in our lives—a child we could raise together, a new chapter built on the love we share.

That dream led us to look into our options, and after many conversations and doctor’s visits, we learned that IVF with surgical sperm retrieval is our best—and really, only—path to having a biological child. It’s incredible that science can offer us this chance, but it also comes with a heavy financial reality. The cost of treatment is significant, and like so many hopeful parents, we’re facing this journey without insurance coverage for fertility care.
